We were invited by a friend to go to the carnival on post yesterday. I knew it was going on but I never thought of taking the boys because in my mind I assumed Connor would be afraid of the rides...wrong-o! There was no needing to convince the boy to try the rides, as soon as he saw them he was ready to jump right in. Jeremy was at work when we left so I figured he could have a quiet evening at home. The boys and I joined up with my friend Steffanie and her 3 kiddos (Ian, 8; Marissa, 4; and Sean, 2 mos). I bought Connor a $20 armband for the rides and I'm so glad I did (remember I thought he would be scaredy cat like me).
Connor & Marissa were too short to ride the bumper cars
First ride of the evening
Too short again
Can you imagine in 13 years this will be Connor driving his date to the carnival?!
Brayden had lots of fun watching all the rides spin around and go up & down
His first fair food
This picture cracks me up! Ian (in front) looks like the bored, inattentive chaperon and Marissa is sneaking to hold Connor's hand. Earlier she told me she is "going to marry my Connor."
He was so content...Future Carnie? haha
For mom...I know this one is probably making your day
Lastly, you can't go to a carnival without an Elephant Ear!!
Got that one out of the way...next up Dollywood, the IL State Fair, and eventually Disney World!

What I wouldn't do for a corn dog, a lemonade-shake-up, and an elephant ear!
ReplyDeleteSo I take it Connor gave up on my Ashlyn and traded her in for a look alike ;) Glad y'all are hanging out and becoming good friends. Fun carnival!
