Bonding With Tools

After a morning full of fishing, Mr A decided to do a project for the garage - a free standing shelving unit.  He was given free plywood and a few 2x4s from a friend the day before.  The plywood was cut up and transported up to the attic to add as flooring over the frame work for our storage items.  The rest was used to make shelves.

Our garage is the place we store all of our crap.  I don't even know what we did before we lived in homes with garages!!  We had bins piled on bins, random items stuffed in wheelbarrows, toys scattered all around, and the shelves we had were plum full.  Since moving into our home we've been eyeing a large shelving unit at Home Depot, but were way too frugal to fork over close to $200 for it.  A little manual labor (and good help from our boys) and $22 (to purchase more 2x4s, screws, and nails), we had our own!  The best part for me was organizing the garage afterwards!! Oh how I love to organize (and I'm totally serious).

Look how much fun B was having.  He's for sure our hands on child.  C is the brains behind projects.

Ta-da!  Still looks like a lot of crap, but unfortunately it's all necessary and now organized.  Imagine the chaos before!
