Spring Has Hopped In

A week ago it was starting to feel like summer with the weather reaching into the 80s.  Fortunately, the heat wave is over (for now) and we are starting to have more spring-like temperatures.  My flowers are really looking gorgeous so far this year and I was able to clip a few from the garden to enjoy inside.

Yesterday evening, B and I discovered a bird's nest in our evergreen in the backyard.  I was picking weeds and he began to pull out the straw from the tree which resulted in a bird hightailing it out of there, zipping right in front of B.  I was so shocked I screamed, probably traumatizing the poor child from birds.  He quickly got over it when I showed him the nest. 

Easter was a pretty easy, laid back day.  The Easter Bunny magically placed baskets while the boys were taking a bath.  The boys were delighted with the thought that E.B. must have hopped right in the window when no one was looking. ;)
