Boot Scoot N' Boogie

Saturday was a first for the Armstrong Family.  We went to Wildhorse Saloon in Nashville for an 8 year old's birthday party.  I say it was a "first" because we haven't been to Wildhorse before.  You can check out their website at: http://wildhorsesaloon.com/  If one ever comes to Nashville, I highly suggest going there for a lunch or dinner.  They even have band shows on some days, mostly country, and sometimes a big named band like Lady Antebellum, Rick Springfield, Clay Walker...just to name a few.  They also have a dance floor for some good ole country line dancin'. Don't worry because they offer a lesson every hour (times differ on days).

All the kids for the birthday party had a grand time running around on the dance floor.  Brayden thoroughly enjoyed running around in the big open space.

Connor kept himself busy with all the young ladies at the party.  When he wasn't playing with them he was making conversation with a pretty mom and Danielle, the DJ.  My oh my, that boy.  He is quite the charmer, although totally oblivious and unintentional, he sure can swoon the gals.  We're gonna have our hands full come the teenage years.

Here are some more photos from the day:

We ended the day with some family time on our front lawn.  I'm going to be heartbroken when they build a house to the left of ours; I love the openness we have now and the view from our back yard is awesome.  Anyways, it was great kite flying weather so Jeremy broke out the $1 kite he bought the boys the day before.  There wasn't enough string so being the fisherman he is, he invented the fishing pole kite string (he tied on the string from C's pole), it was an easy way for C to "reel" in the kite. Brayden just meandered around the yard picking up random rocks. Oh to be entertained by the little things in life! :)
