When in doubt, just cut it out

We have this window in our bathroom that you can't just go to the store and buy a curtain for.  Initially I came up with this:

*Notice in the mirror's reflection my ghetto curtain...a towel hanging on a tension rod.

Keeping with my no sew theme (since I do not have a sewing machine nor do I remember how to work one), I replaced the towel with this:

It's a curtain!  But not just any curtain...a ghetto fabulous one. I say that because I just took a previous curtain we aren't using and cut it to fit the size of the window.  I had to melt the cut edges with a lighter so it doesn't fray.  It does the job and it's pretty creative if I do say so myself. Oh, and the cost...drum roll...$0.00!

  1. You are just so crafty and it looks great! Didn't you have that tiny sewing machine that you made those pillows with? I'm still wanting to do that pillow case dress. I bought the pillow case just never did the dress part.

  2. Hey, a leeeetle lighter fluid....MUCH cheaper than staples (Dave's answer to everything)! Great idea and the new curtain, while ghettolicious, looks much better than the ole towel.

    Good Job !!!
